The Choctaw Nation pharmaceutical services provides pharmacy services for all Native American patients who are prescribed medications by the Choctaw Nation Health System physicians, dentists, physician assistants or nurse practitioners.
These medications are provided to those patients who are receiving care either in the hospital at Talihina or as patients at one of the four outlying clinics located at Broken Bow, Hugo, McAlester, and Poteau. Licensed pharmacists counsel all patients receiving medications. Medications are checked for drug-interactions, allergies and appropriateness of therapy. The pharmacy department is also responsible for all medications that are used by the providers throughout all of the facilities.

PRxN® Mail Order Pharmacy
The Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority is always looking for ways to provide improved services for our patient population; therefore an agreement with the Pequot Pharmaceutical Network (PRxN®) has been developed. The PRxN® is based in Connecticut, and is an enterprise of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The company provides mail order pharmaceutical service to Native Americans who are members of Indian tribes throughout the United States. It offers prescription medicines at costs lower than those of retail pharmacies.
