Job Description

Dietary aide level 1 is the entry level position in the Dietary Dept. Performs a variety of food preparation duties, such as preparing cold foods and beverages for patients and cafeteria service. As scheduled will work in the kitchen and cafeteria areas. Following patient menus help prepare and assemble patient trays and snacks. Will help with the receiving and storage of dietary supplies. Will perform daily, weekly and monthly sanitation procedures in the foodservice area. As assigned completes records kept in the Dietary department, such temperature checks , meal count sheets, etc.

Qualification

Must be literate and able to complete basic addition, subtraction and multiplication. Is able to work well with co-workers, supervisors and public under stressful situations. Is able to perform physcial activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and a full range of body movement for a prolonged period during the day. Is able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Must be flexible in working hours and days scheduled in order to meet the needs of the Dietary department, will include different shifts, some weekends and holidays. Must be able to learn how to operate a variety of foodservice machines and basic office machines. Must be able to learn proper food handling , production, safety and sanitation procedures applying to the Dietary area. Must be able to tolerate warm and cold work conditons.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Unit Manager, the RN is responsible for the delivery of care during ante/intra and post partum periods of labor and delivery as well as providing assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Oversees all nursing personnel including Ward Clerks, to assure patients receive quality care in a timely manner. Communicates with physicians and nursing staff concerning change in patients condition or treatment.

Qualification

Current RN licensure in the State of Oklahoma. Experience in an OB/GYN/Nursery setting preferred. Current CPR certification required and fetal monitoring and NRP certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment. Must meet the physical demands of the position. Must posess knowledge of medications and dosages used in the care of OB/GYN/Nursery patients. Must posess knowledge of current principles and techniques of asepsis and infection control.
